all oximeters that sleepyhead supports work with it on macs.
you have to have the silicon labs driver installed on your mac so that sleepyhead can talk to the oximeter, look for it in the SH instructions.

I went from 7 to 10.
Just had a wonderfully deep and relaxing nap. Wow. I want more lol.
Thanks for the info about the driver. I'm going to go search for it now.

Sleeprider wrote:No doubt increasing the minimum pressure helped. You took a pretty large step going from 4.0 to 10 and you may want to experiment with some alternatives. Leave the pressure in place for a while to get a good baseline before making changes, then try to resist the temptation to change more than one thing at a time. Our sleep can change in quality from night to night, and pressure, exhalation pressure relieve, and even humidity can have subtle effects, and you need to see a cause/effect over several days or weeks to get things fine-tuned.
Glad to hear it's working a lot better for you now.
I think he went from 7 to 10. The avg treatment pressure is about 10, above 10 centrals are more likely, and need to monitor with software. I've always been way above 10. Jim

My doc is calling in an order to the DME for a pulse oximeter to wear at night.
Dealing DME just called -- I HATE DME. They said its going to be up to 2-3 days before I can get it because they need to get the script and then get the pulse ox software company to reply to them to do something.. So I may be able to get it tomorrow but it may be 2-3 days before I can pick it up.
Why are these things so difficult????? DME seems to be such a scam. I have blue cross btw.

You can buy recording pulse oximeters for under $150. They were charging me $300 for 24 hours rental through the 'system'. I had to pay it because I have a $10,000 deductible. SO I bought my own and email the data files to the DR.
When offered artificial respiration, be sure to ask for the real thing.
