Cpap only reads last use?

Post by Antlavony » Mon Jan 12, 2015 10:34 am

Hi, on my machine if I stop use of it for a few minutes and start up again it counts only the 2nd use under therapy hours as only use from what I can tell. It also won't peg day as compliant. I used it for a a 4.24 hour interval than a 2.14 hour interval. It only shows the 2.14 hour on the menu on the machine. Then when I go to days with over 4 hours it shows 0 for 1 day..... Does it screw me if I pause at all at night?

By default the machine breaks days at noon, so if your two sessions occurred at either side of that "day" as defined by the machine, it will show up on two separate days. However therapy hours are cumulative for the day, week and 30 day interval. You should see an increase in the weekly and monthly therapy hours. You might see the breakdown a little better if you can use either Respironics EncoreBasic or the Sleepyhead software.

Both started after 12 midnight and both fell before 12 noon :-/ the 1day only shows 2nd time though. Didn't add them together.

whlle sleeprider is correct as far as he goes, what he neglected to mention was that the machine breaks days at noon *its time*, and, it thinks it's in england (gmt) (meaning anywhere from 4-7am in the usa during winter)

there's no way to correct the clock to local time, or even fix the clock drift in a respironics machine, so the software used to read it has to fudge the numbers.

use sleepyhead, set it up for your local time zone, apply whatever clock drift you need, and you'll have accurate days.
