New to BiPAP

Post by DMHE » Tue Jan 06, 2015 4:28 pm

I have been diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. Received pre-set BiPAP 3 weeks ago but have constant slipping of full face mask and cannot seem to adjust it correctly. Can anyone offer suggestions?

Title is misleading since your issue with with the mask not the machine. Better title might be, problems using mask.

No profile showing what your equipment is to know what you have so....
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

So sorry. I don't know where the profile form is. New to this site today. I am using Philips Respironics BiPAP S/T with heated humidifier. Mask is ResMed AirFit F10 full face mask. I am female with thick hair. The mask slips and causes air leaks and the pressure blows the cushion over the mouth area. I can't tell if maybe it's the head gear straps slipping on hair or weather I might move my head during night that shifts head gear and or mask out of place.

At the top right there is an area which says Register User name and as you register on the control panel there is a tab for equipment. If you would fill out your equipment with the Text option it would help those who respond. If you need further help ask.

as OkyDoky says, you have to register, and log in, then you can configure your profile and equipment.
