Okay just venting- but I was shocked about how my insurance is unwilling to pay anything on my equipment. They were all good with paying for the testing, they just don't want to treat it I guess. Talking with and trying to deal with the DME- I guess it might be a blessing in disguise. They are slow and want to send me home with a low-end rent to own unit. No thanks- I will pass. I am tired of waiting and I am tired of being tired. I guess freedom has its price On a positive note, I guess I don't have to fight with Humana or my DME.
Anyway- it was with the help of this board that steered me in the direction I need to be for now. Now off to learning how to make this all work for me and trying to sleep well again....
Insurance Humana PPO
Re: Insurance Humana PPO
Humana follows Medicare guidelines and requires a 3 month rental with compliance at day 90 to pay any further. You need to find out what your in and out of network benefits are before you go with a dme.

For lots of people, even WITH insurance coverage, it's very possible that it's cheaper to purchase out-of-pocket anyway.ski1999 wrote:Okay just venting- but I was shocked about how my insurance is unwilling to pay anything on my equipment. Re: Insurance Humana PPO
Most PPO policies vary with the contracting employer, not the insurance company.
Your boss decides how good the insurance you and your co-workers get.
Medicare has a lot longer than 3 month capped rental--13 months, I believe.

Re: Insurance Humana PPO
This is very true. Our company simply uses an insurance company to manage the insurance, what is covered and at what levels is set by the company.
