Yes I am in need of advice! I as was at sleep center last nite and got the news I would need to buy the cpap etc. I dont know what kind of mask is the best . How can one decide ?? I will be golng on a cruise in April from Ft. Lauderdale port for 10 days. Should I avoid discussions with my cabin attendant and just bring an extention cord about 20 feet to plug into outlet near bathroom door side of dresser? Or do I want to act stupid and bring in the housekeeper ?

I don't see why you should need a "hose keeper" when you can use a extension cord. I have seen extra long hoses also but they may confuse a Auto pap. Resmed has a setting for a 10' hose if you must bring your 'hose keeper" If your luck is like mine you won't need one unless you dont bring an extension cord. I did get stuck in a hotel without an outlet near the bed . Had a 15 foot cord and it still didnt reach. Had to move the bed.

Look at auto PAPs and start with a Resmed mask. They seem to be best for most but others may disagree. Price for a complete setup is less than $1,000 including extension cord .

Cheers,
