Hi just joined , Cardoligst wants me to take sleep study soon. I've been reading up on the forum , found lots of info I needed allready on here.
Far as me sleep, currently I wake up about every hour , seems to me that my minds just programed that way.
I'm 68 yrs old male. Worked every shift during last 25 years. Have AFIB currently on Tiekson for it Cardoligst says AFIB can come from sleep apina which I found on here can be true.
I have a 7 way bypass Dec 2005, 7 heart stents 3 renal artery stents with 50 % heart function. <<<<Info just so you get to know my health in general . Will keep reading the forum to gather more info. also update you on my sleep test results.
I'm thinking the pillowmask? would be best for me as I keep a Grizzly Adams type of beard. I shave maybe every year or two just for the heck of it. My G daughter says she's scared of me when I'm clean shaved, really love that girl.
So I guess this covers me for now as new member introduction.
Jim

Welcome to the forum.
Should you indeed end up using cpap and want more information on all those various nasal pillow masks I have tried most all of them.

I have also tried a bunch of nasal masks too if you need any opinions on masks. Please don't delay or put off having your sleep study. Could save your life.

My brother was dx'd with a-fib after being on cpap for several years.
Ablation worked for him. He was back at work in a few days. He uses his Cpap regularly.
Cpap can help, but it may not be enough.
