retrieve past data from Res Med S9
retrieve past data from Res Med S9
This is my first post as I'm new to the forum. Here is background info for my question:
I have been using my machine for over a year. When the sd card apparently filled with data the company I rent my machine from told me to remove it (as the machine wouldn't work right). So I have had no sd card inserted (I now have one). Is there a way to get all previous missing data exported from the machine so I can import it into Sleepyhead??

Re: retrieve past data from Res Med S9
You can get what the S9 stores in its internal memory in terms of usage which is mainly summary statistics...AHI, leak, etc but you won't get any detail graphs because the SD card must be in the machine all night so it will write those data files to the SD card because they aren't stored on the machine.
Used to be that SleepyHead needed those detailed data files to report anything but I think this latest version will give you the the statistics. Give me a bit and I will go find an example of what you will see.
I had my SD card sort of pop out of the slot and I didn't know it so I have a week of just summary data.

Here's what you get when you leave your SD card in your jeans pocket overnight. BTDTGTTS *sigh*

Re: retrieve past data from Res Med S9
Using SleepyHead this is what you get if the SD card hasn't been inserted in the S9
Now if you use ResScan you can get 95% leak numbers also..not showing up on SleepyHead though.

Here is what you get if the SD card is in the S9 all night. Plus there are more graphs available on the right side...I just have this screen shot showing the main ones I like to use.

that's bs, btw, the sd card in a S9 can't fill up because the s9 deletes old data every day.iualum wrote:This is my first post as I'm new to the forum. Here is background info for my question:

They lied to you.
I have a tiny suspicion they are just that ignorant, and it is possible. . .

You can get summary graphs like this at any time, of your past year summary data, just by sticking the SD card into the S9, at any time, and by using a ResScan program:

But to get Detailed graphs like these you need the SD card to be inserted in the S9 while the CPAP is recording:

The S9 SD card stores 365 days of therapy and summary, 30 days detailed data, and 7 days of flow data

Re: retrieve past data from Res Med S9
Thanks for all your replies. I thought maybe there was an easy way to get the past data, but it is more effort than it is worth to me. I will just go forward using Sleepyhead and data on my new sd card.
Re: retrieve past data from Res Med S9
There is no easy way to get past data because the machine doesn't store it...can't get something that is not stored.
Just remember to keep the SD card in the machine at night while it is in use because all the nice graphs have to go directly onto the SD card.

Which S9 machine are you using?
Model name? Should be up by the on/off button on the blower.

Re: retrieve past data from Res Med S9
it's not that there's no easy way to get the past data, there's no data to get. the machine writes all the detailed and high rate flow/pressure data directly to the card, so if there's no card, no data is written.iualum wrote:Thanks for all your replies.
