Slim face full mask? HELP needed!

Post by Guest » Wed Dec 10, 2014 5:52 am

Hello

Iam 30years and slim guy with slim face structure. I've been searching and trying all the possible options for full face mask. I am also mouth breather, so it should be a full one.

So what kind of models or brands you have found for this? I start to be pit frustrated, cuz my body and mind can't handle this situation for long anymore. Currently I am using a mouth peace, which is relatively good, but only when Iam sleeping on my side, and I can't sleep like that anymore. Side sleeping with lack of oxygen has already created serious back problems for me.

Hi, I suggest you first look at Cpap.com's very large variety of FFM's and their descriptions, then call the office (they're in TX) and ask them about your problem, see what they suggest.

Guest,

What makes you think you are a mouth breather? When you are awake, do you have difficulties breathing through your nose?

In most cases, sleeping on your side helps reduce the number of events.

That's pretty general but knowing about the type of problems would be helpful.

I think the Airfit F10 has a fairly slim profile. It is narrower than the other masks I have tried.

On the F10, I just got an x-small after using a small for 2 months. (It fits, BTW -- yeah!!!) The x-sml and the sml appear to be exactly the same width, the sml is just taller. So if a sml is too wide, an x-sml will also be too wide. (I had to special order the x-sml. In case you are in the same position, where they have a small to try on but you have to order the x-sml.)

Guest, I also am a mouth breather and couldn't use a full face mask because it kept slipping up into my mouth when my jaw slackened. So I switched to a nasal mask along with a chin strap and sometimes a bit of tape over the lips. The tape doesn't cover the full mouth so I could still breath out of my mouth if need be. But the tape is necessary sometimes to keep my mouth closed. It's not for everyone but so far is a solution that works for me.
