The algorithm will be the same as the current model. The only difference is size and looks.
That is what I had heard as well. The only reason to change the algorithm is because the internal parts changed or the old algorithm had flaws.

Do you think the 'Hybrid' mask will beat the Remstar 'M' Auto into our homes? The race is on....My money's on the 'Hybrid'..What do you think?

it's a supply thing, dealers probably have lots of Auto's remaining in stock, the day they release the new M series Autos that inventory will just sit. It is why they released the straight cpap versions in the Plus and Pro first, those are the biggest sellers.

the current model is not that large, and not that old, it runs directly off of 12volts, doesn't have a cumbersome power transformer to lug around. Cflex came out in 2001 in the Pro version and only released in current Auto version some 18 months ago. I see no advantage to the new model, being smaller doesn't always equate to being better. Most machines that are smaller are more noisy. Also don't see any advantage to the new style's adjunct humidifier, the current model works very well, is compact, easy to fill right on the machine with small funnel, no removing the the tank to refill. Anytime you remove the humidifier tank it is going to wear on the tank to machine coupler. I'm not too excited over the elbow thing on the back of the machine, I'm trying to picture that thing on my nightstand, hose now comes off the humidifier with an elbow where it belongs, M series it comes off the back, all that is going to do is push the machine farther from the wall. I set the mask and hose on the machine when not in use and it hangs there between the wall and the elbow on the humifier.

cpap.com must have limited supply of the current model auto's in stock as it is $35 cheaper from Noah's Arch for the same thing.
