According to ResMed, there is a "new, 360-degree, swivel connector". https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... idair.html

Any more questions children?
I may be wrong, but this DOES look like a 90 degree angle in that hose connetor... though i haven't measured it with the protractor:

I suppose it COULD be a 270 degree turn, depending on how you look at it.

I think Granny is right, but am wondering if it swivels 360 degrees in each of two planes that are at right angles? Disregarding design limitations, that would be what I want.

so, you think granny is right, and that fitting with the opening at 6 o'clock and the hose going off at 9 o'clock aren't a 90 degree bend, and that the hard plastic fitting on the end of the hose, with the angle... swivels?

I don't comprehend what you're considering.

the outlet from the machine points directly out of the back, towards the wall, much like on the s9 machines, then you attach a hose to it and the hose lies paralell, not perpendicular, to the back face of the machine, (figure out what "angle" that is for yourself) and you can swivel the direction that the hose points in a full 360 degree circle, so while facing the machine, it can point to the left, or the right, or up, or down, or any direction in between those points.

The way I understand Granny's comment is that the bend is due to a connector which is not a part of either the machine nor the hose. But the connector is attached to both for proper functioning of the machine.

Could be wrong as I can't read her mind and have not seen hose, connector or machine.

how about seeing if you can click on this link, if you can get your monitor up in that restrictive space where your head is... since it's not "on this forum".

The "swivel" action has a fair amount of resistance, so one must physically turn the elbow to direct the hose in a chosen direction. My definition of a "swivel" implies freewheeling, maybe even with bearings--no such luck!
As I mentioned earlier, a ball joint would so doggoned COOL!
