Mask liners
Mask liners
Where can I get mask liners to prevent leaks? Do you super glue them on?

Re: Mask liners
No, they just fit under your mask and are not permanently attached to it or you.
Pad-a-Cheek.com - Google and see what they look like. There are also others called Remzzzz (or something like that) but they're disposable and therefore probably more expensive in the long run, and not always as popular.

Re: Mask liners
I am a big fan of mask liners. For me they (1) totally stop leaks and (2) definitely increase my full face mask comfort (no plastic touching my face). I have tried both the Padacheek and the RemZzzs. I like the RemZzzs better. Our host cpap.com sells the RemZzzs. One note about the RemZzzs - I can easily get 4-5+ days use from one mask liner, so they aren't as expensive as might first appear. However in the long run, they do cost more than Padacheek, but as I said they work better for me. I suggest you try both and see which works best for you.

Re: Mask liners
Many folks do get good results from mask liners. I am unfortunately not one of them. Do not be totally surprised if you don't. Jist' sayin'

Re: Mask liners
I've been using the pad-a-cheek mask liners on my Quattro for just over 2 years now. I've also added the headgear padding with some self made modifications. It has made my CPAP life successful & comfortable.
Karen at pad-a-cheek is simply Awesome!!
When I started, I tried a 30 day free sample of Rem-zzz's and they were okay. But they moved during the night and were a pain for me to get set right each night
Rem-zzz's are not re-usable, although some folks reportedly can get a few extra days out of them. They are not covered by insurance.
The last time I checked, a 30 day supply of rem-zzz's for my FFM is $29.95.
If I had used Rem-zzz's over the past 24 months & replaced them as directed by the manufacturer; I would have spent $600.
Pad-a-cheek liners stay in place for me and there is no fussing with placement of them for me.
Pad-a-cheek liners last me about 10-11 months before the fabric frays and the Velcro fails.
Over the past 2 years, I've paid $72 for 4 pad-a-cheek mask liners.
It's a no-brainer for me, $72 for pad-a-cheek versus $600 for Rem-zzz's, but your results may vary

Re: Mask liners
When I first started tx my N10 nasal mask caused my face to blister and I had to use bandaids which didn't promote a good seal. I bought a P10 pillow and really like it but it does make my nose sore after a few days. So I wanted to alternate and ordered the Remzzz which helped my face and seal but was a hassle to lay on the mask and get a good placing especially in the dark. I then ordered the PadACheek and once on the mask it stays there. When I put it on it is comfortable with my leaks decreased. I've also noted it seems to muffle and redirect the air away from my eyes which was a big issue with my N10. I'm very happy with my PadACheek.

Re: Mask liners
I'm the only one on this forum (that I know of) who uses a single Remzzz on top of a Padacheek... it's a long story. Seems to work for me tho. If you want to hear the whole story, sorry, you'll have to ask or PM me.Bucco wrote:. I like the RemZzzs better. Our host cpap.com sells the RemZzzs. I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Re: Mask liners
I also tried both Pad-A-Cheek and RemZzz liners; RemZzz works better for me. I have been washing and reusing my RmZzzs... use each one night, toss into a mesh bag and wash with my sheets and towels. I lay them flat to dry, then iron them and put them back in my little box to use again. I always put them at the bottom of the pile to use each one in rotation. Washing after one use gets the facial oils out so that I can reuse. I hate to think how many I threw away before I realized that I should at least attempt washing and ironing to see how long they would continue to be effective. That was about 7 months ago and I haven't thrown one away since. When I think of all the junk that ends up in the landfills I'm glad I thought to attempt reusing them. I don't like throwing things away if they're not biodegradable or recyclable, and I don't know if RemZzzs qualify.
Pad-A-Cheek liners can be used more than once before washing, as can the strap liners, which I do use. They are wonderful.

Re: Mask liners
I do the same thing with the Remzzz in the washing machine and then pop them in the dryer. Once they come out of the dryer they are curled up in little balls so it takes about 10 seconds to flatten each one enough to put it in a pile and then weight it down under a book or whatever. The edges tend to curl a little when you put them on your mask but if you just run a finger around the edges (takes maybe five seconds) while it's against your face the Remzzz fit nicely all night.library lady wrote: I have been washing and reusing my RmZzzs... use each one night, toss into a mesh bag and wash with my sheets and towels. If you wash them in hot water and then run them thru the dryer, they seem to turn out really clean and even shrink a small amount, which is what you want to happen since they stretch with continued re-use. Ironing is cool if you have the time... I tried it once but it doesn't seem worth the extra effort unless it something you are used to doing a lot… plus they will still curl up unless you weight them down, especially in humid areas. Some of my Remzzz have been used at least twenty times and show no wear of loss of shape whatsoever.

Didn't get good results with mask liners. Got good results with anti leak strap.
