Sleepyhead+Fisher Paykel ICON__ MAC users!!!

Post by bdz » Mon Nov 03, 2014 11:34 am

Having the same problem Peter had in this link. Main problem quoted below link.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=101120&p=943809&hil ... re#p943809
I have downloaded SleepyHead "v0.9.8-1 testing" and set up the profile. When I select File Import the software automatically finds the smartstick and says "A FPIcon file structure was located at: /Volumes/FPHCARE Would you like to import from this location? I say Yes but then I get the error: Import Problem - Couldn't find any valid Machine Data at /Volumes/FPHCARE

I do have SleepyHead on my PC, but am trying to get away from using that the laptop. Do any of you Mac users who also use SleepyHead, have a FP machine? Did you have this issue and if so, how did you solve it. I have explored all I could here and on FaceBook. I used the Fisher Paykel InfoSmart, with much static from FP for quite a while. I switched to my DeVilbliss and now I cannot log in to the InfoSmart!

I have SleepyHead working fine with my DeVilbliss machine memory stick on my Mac, but need to be able to use ICON right now because of a machine backup situation. The SH software just does not see the info. I open it on my PC laptop in SleepyHead and all was there.

Found a Sleepyhead icon on my desktop screen that was not there before... So, I opened it and got my FP memory stick and gave it a try! It worked! It must have been an auto download as I did not download it. Not complaining though! Thanks Mark!!! You are one super guy!

Having the identical problem as the OP in this thread:
I have downloaded SleepyHead "v0.9.8-1 testing" and set up the profile. When I select File Import the software automatically finds the smartstick and says "A FPIcon file structure was located at: /Volumes/FPHCARE Would you like to import from this location? I say Yes but then I get the error: Import Problem - Couldn't find any valid Machine Data at /Volumes/FPHCARE
Any workaround on the Mac?

Thanks,

Carl

Carl, how I got it to work was:
  • 1. Selected IMPORT,
    2. Chose the select folder option
    3. Went to the computer listing dialog box (shows on left side of my dialog box.) The one that also gives you the option to eject...
    4. Clicked on the FP icon which open the folders in the memory stick.
    5. Selected the only blue folder that appeared and then
    6. Clicked on open.
I hope this works for you

Carl... steps #2 and #3 are the most important! I could not get it to work otherwise!!
