Remstar Plus M Series with CFlex and Encore Pro

Post by RoswellGa » Mon Jun 19, 2006 2:28 pm

I guess I just blew $150.00. It seems that all I will be able to see is how many hours a night I used the machine in Encore Pro. Is this correct?
I did see under the Create a Prescription via the Smartcard for this device that there was a check box for enabling AHI and Leaks Detection. Is there any functionality behind this?

M Plus

As far as I know it is compliance data only on the Plus. The only other advantage to the DME, is they can have you bring in the card and reprogram your settings if you live far away. I am going to get an Auto M in the future as my main machine and use my M plus as a backup and travel machine.

To me it is still a good starter machine for someone that wants a decent amount of features. I actually am wondering if the only difference is a chip or ROM program when all of the units are out. I do not have do not have a real way to check this though.

Now did you get the card reader and the software for $150 and where if i can ask.

So, if I want a Respironics unit, and if I want an APAP, and if I want to be able to get all possible data to monitor my sleep pattern, what machine should I get? (I currently have a basic cpap with no smart card --- compliance data only.)

I bought them separately. I got the card reader from 2factors.com and I got the Encore Pro software from another vendor who was selling it for 124.95. With shipping it was more like 160.00 actually.
