I think it means just monitor O2 (like they did in the diagnostic study) and see if O2 levels come up to acceptable levels with optimal cpap therapy.
I don't think it means adding O2 at this time...that would be a consideration later if optimal cpap therapy and pressures and low AHI didn't fix the O2 situation.

You might be able to talk the doctor into getting the DME to give you one of those overnight pulse oximeters that will record O2 all night. Wear it on the finger all night while using the APAP to find the right pressure and see if the O2 levels improve or not.
