How to Use Message Board

Post by Guest » Sat Jun 17, 2006 4:21 pm

How/where do I find the instructions for responding to an earlier post. I want to be able to insert a portion of the earlier post to show what I'm responding to. I know how to cut and paste, but that doesn't "set it off" in a box as some of you do so nicely when you quote an earlier message.

For example, if you want to respond to this post, click on the "quote box" over on the right, and a reply box will come up for you to type in.

You can also
quote
a portion of a post by using the Quote button above the box where you type the reply. There is also bold, italic, underline, etc. You can also start the quote by pressing alt and q.
I'm just trying it now. Ah, how simple. Thanks. What if I just want to quote a portion of the previous message?

you highlight and delete the stuff you don't want. just don't forget to leave the tags intact, as in
at the end and
at the beginning of the post you want to use.
