Thanks Pugsy - I will set it 6-8 and hopefully we will have some real data in the next couple of days.

Thats what Im getting Palerider, NOTHING! You talk about frustrating....I wish I could throw it through the window. The only thing I see on this card is dates, no data. I'm running into too many walls and I do enough of that (for real) right here at home. It's not as bad as I mde it sound but, yes, I do swipe walls that jump out in front of me

ya gotta watch out for them walls, they's tricky!

I really really wish I had an answer for you, but unfortunately, I don't. I've heard of the resmart brand, and seen some pics, but never had anything to do with them. and if they're not giving you any data... then you're pretty much lost... unfortunately, until you can go back and raise enough of a stink to get a decent machine

resmED, that doesn't have 'escape' in the name (very important) or respironics that doesn't have "plus" or "se" anywhere on it.

wow, I completely zoned on the fact that jnw is your aunt... so you'll have an autoset, and real data tomorrow... awesome, at least this'll get you started in the right direction!

My aunt jmw brought her Resmaed over today and we tried it for about 15 minutes and low and behold...... we actually got some data. Not much but enough to know its going to give you guys something to look at. I am so excited to see whats going on. I have a wonderful aunt, she's my hero! She also chewed on my butt a bit when she found out I knew I had apnea but wasn't doing anything about it. I tried to explain that I didn't want anything else to deal with and she wouldn't hear any part of it (giggle). Wow, I hadn't been in trouble since I was a kid (that was yesterday, ya know ) I'm so glad she got after me because now I see how dangerous this can be. Thanks aunt jmw for caring so much about me.

In addition to the Resmed I will be wearing the Resjunk mask for 4 hours each day too so I can stay in compliance for my insurance. Wouldn't want to be billed for that thing!

Ok. I believe I had a sucessful data night and the report shows (to me) that Sludge was right. They weren't centrals at all. They are actually obstructive. I will post them for you guys to see and see what you think. I didn't know how to do a screen shot so I chose the ones I thought you would prefer to see.

Hey...got something to at least start with and see what happens. That's good.
Don't know what to make of that cluster of centrals but let's see what happens when we try to zap the obstructives.

For pressure tonight...try 10 minimum and 16 maximum...and let's see what happens.
For future reports...these are what I find useful in terms of the graphs.
On the left side the AHI bar graph showing event breakdown and the top portion of the statistics. The events tab not usual at this point.
On the right side these graphs....Events, Flow rate, pressure and leak.
You can turn off the AHI and mask pressure graphs as they are not needed. (turn off in Preferences) or the tiny legend at the bottom where you make the ones to turn off red colored instead green.

Then you can resize things so that all show on one image to make it easier for screen shots and requires less work.

also, hit the ^ by the date, to turn off the calendar, it doesn't provide any info, and just hides data further down.

make sure you select the 'details' tab

Here's a couple of examples...one with only the pie chart turned off and one with both the pie chart and calendar turned off. Sometimes how much is shown with only the pie chart turned off shows more of the statistics. I think it depends on a person's desktop resolution. You don't get much statistics with just the pie chart turned off with my desktop resolution but sometimes that added statistical detail is useful and the calendar is not particularly useful as long as someone includes the data in their screen shot.
Sometimes I will ask to see the flow limitation graph but that can be done separately as it really isn't critical and we can make the graphs small enough to do 5 per image but then the graphs are tiny so I prefer 4 to an image as it makes for easier viewing for me. We all have our on little preferences on how we like to see things. When they get too tiny then I have trouble evaluating things sometimes...sometimes it doesn't matter.

Actually, I believe Sludge said
Sludge wrote:Everything is suspect (all the centrals could have been improperly scored and they are actually all obstructive)(that would explain the existence of events in REM)(assuming there was REM).
and at this point not convinced that the explanation is clear. There are still a number of unanswered questions, so somebody (or thing) is REALLY wrong (the ResMed CA detection says obstructive, the HST detection (I'm guessing it was on Autoscore) says central, the ReSmart algorithm implies obstructive... while 2 out of 3 ain't bad, the "Gold Standard" (abdomino-thoracic belts in HST) said central.

When did you fall asleep last night?
If you fell asleep straight away I think maybe switch to cpap mode at 10 cm or tiny, tiny range (maybe 8 to 10).
If you laid awake for over a hour then I guess that first hour or so where nothing happened because you were awake.
10 to 16 range isn't going to work I don't think unless all that ugliness was from leaks. Maybe some but not all.
Leak control went to the dogs around 2:15 or so which was also about the time all the mess started. The green apneas are all in large leak and the machine doesn't know what category to put them in. Either one though...is bad.

Hey Sludge...if we believe the S9....those centrals are real and real ugly to boot and then it goes back to what are we fighting here.
Do you believe the S9 is correct in terms of the event category determination?
A simple yes or no would real nice please. I know it's hard sometimes...if we can't trust what we are seeing reported then what the hell are we doing even bothering with the software?
