O/T laugh at DME
Re: O/T laugh at DME
I wonder if it was a new medical biller that didn't know what they were doing and the person training them was not looking over their shoulder. It is the right that they billed all the parts as separate HCPCS codes. Each componet has a separate code, the machine, the humidifier, the tubing, filters, masks, etc. But the biller didn't understand what the codes were that they submitted to the insurance. Even though they all come in one package, They are not considered a bundle. If you google it, I don't see a bundled code for all of it together and I remember billing all the parts separate when I did medical billing several years back. The DME needs to send in a corrected claim and if they don't you need to contact your insurance company. The insurance will retract the payment from the DME for the incorrect items.

Walking through stores is a fairly painless way of getting higher numbers on my pedometer.Semily wrote:I think if the insurance was paying, it would be tempting to accept. I loathe walking through Walmart and have been really tempted on more than one occasion to get one of the scooters.
In bad weather, I go just to walk. Anything to keep my knees from hurting.

I walk in my dreams all the time.. Long long distances on a regular basis. My pedometer never changes though. Having CHF makes mobility very difficult so I don't go to stores much at all if ever. Places like Walmart have electric carts, but I have not bothered to use them as I don't find using them appealing.chunkyfrog wrote:Walking through stores is a fairly painless way of getting higher numbers on my pedometer.

Re: O/T laugh at DME
The last couple of years, pain from fibromyalgia and bulging discs has made walking increasingly difficult. But I've been amazed at how much better I feel since starting therapy a couple months ago. I'm also waiting on some custom orthotics I just learned I need. I'm thinking in a couple more months I'm going to feel like a new woman!
