Resmed S9, reset ramp rate?

Post by fasttimes » Wed Sep 24, 2014 12:07 pm

My old machines had a button that I could reach over and hit and it would start the ramp rate out to "low" and then gradually ramp up to my pressure. The S9 oddly doesn't have this feature. The only way I can get it to reset is to pull the mask off and wait until it turns off. Kind of annoying and the wife doesn't like it too much when I do this.

Any suggestions for a workaround?

Watch the video tutorial for the S9, the link is in my signature box. Shows you all the menus and how to adjust options like Ramp. I'm not sure why you think you need to take your mask off and wait for the machine to turn off. You ought to be able to just reach over, turn the machine off, give it a few seconds, then turn it back on -- which should restart Ramp. No need to remove the mask to do this.

Leave your mask on, then reach over and push the button to turn off the machine, then push the button again to restart therapy -- it will go into ramp mode if you have it set up just like when you first turn the machine on when you go to sleep. Only takes a second to turn off and turn back on, so just leave your mask on when you cycle it.

You may have your S9 set to automatic on/off when you put on/take off your mask...turn that off and use the on/off button.

No need to turn off the auto on/off. The button overrides it.
