Water/Vinegar Spritz?
Water/Vinegar Spritz?
I've read references to a water/vinegar spritz that some people apparently use to improve the sealing of their masks but I have not been able to find the original post or actual instructions on the use of this spritz. Can someone please point me to the original thread or just post the instructions (water/vinegar ratio, spritz and then rinse?, spritz and air dry?). Thanks

I think I coined the term but the idea comes from numerous folks. It works quite well for me.
1 part Vinegar and 2 (or three) parts water. For the Swift I spritz the inside of the barrel and on the outside the pillows and the side that touches my faces. I rub it in a little to get any oils off and then rinse the entire shebang and stick it on a piece of silverware in my dish drainer to air dry. Works well for Headrest and CL2 pillows as well. For nasal interfaces I spritz a paper towel and wipe off the part that touches the face. That has worked pretty well too.
This is just how I do it. Others will have other ways.

Between the spritz and SB's hint on strap tightness (top and bottom not necessarily even, as opposed to the instructions that say they should be fairly even), I've pretty much sealed up the last of my Swift leaks.
I had be using a mild soap but the vinegar works better for whatever reason.
