I have only been using cpap for 2weeks and am slowly adjusting to the whole think both physical and mental. My problem at the moment is actually getting to sleep once I am asleep there is no problem. My machine is ramped and is low for 20 minutes so I then switch off and on again to keep the pressure down. But it's the early hours before I drop off any suggestions please

Cherann, welcome to the forum. We can better help you if you register and post your equipment -- machine, mask, pressure(s), and also tell us what you think is making it difficult to go to sleep (besides the obvious strange feeling of the face-hugger that is your new bed partner ).

You say that you keep restarting the ramp -- are you doing that because it's easier for you to fall asleep when the pressure is still low? Most machines have the option of a longer ramp time -- would that help?

The more specific information you can give us, the more we can help.
