What would be helpful for me, in understanding the graphs on Sleepyhead, would be for someone good at this to post a busy section of different days' graphs and explain what's happening through all the graphs (flow rate, tidal volume, etc., etc.). Maybe if there's a long pause (OA or CA), and maybe talk about the few moments before and after.....since those moments tell us good stuff too.
Or is this idea too silly?
Thanks!

Take a look at Pugsy's Pointers to see it that gives you all you need.
There is a link at the top of the page but here it is also.

Re: Little "lectures"?
Thanks JD. I have real problems with reading and comprehension........I'm more an all-image person.
I'm a bit embarrassed that I suggested this, since Pugsy did such a great job on all those explanations.
For some reason, my brain needs to be led to specific places. Thanks for referring me to all of Pugsy's stuff!

You are welcome.
Folks are divided into three groups on how they best learn: Reading, Seeing, and Hearing.
I, too, do better with the visual approach so you are not alone.

Re: Little "lectures"?
There's too many variables in the norms for various data points in the bulk of SleepyHead's graphs to try to explain in general terms.
Then trying to speculate as to how this so and so change in say tidal volume might mean something of importance in terms of sleep...impossible journey and I really don't want to go there in the tutorial. I can't. There's no documentation to fall back on. It's all speculation with no basis to go on....at least I haven't been able to find it.
My normal tidal volume (or minute volume or resp rate or whatever) is simply not the same as someone else's normal might be.
That's why I concentrate only on the basics and don't go putting that other stuff under the microscope. I simply don't see the need.
Basics being....Events, flow rate (if you want to zoom in on individual events of some sort), leaks, AHI and the category break down, and maybe snores, and flow limitations if they are very active.
If you want a little lecture explaining something...the best thing is to post whatever it is you see that you want explained and see if someone can explain it.

Thanks JDS and Pugsy.
