See, to me that's just another form of putting him in time out. Next that's going to be illegal too?

Imo. There is a reason children's butts are shaped too the same natural curvature of an adults hand.spanking children is a well defined use of discipline. Use of anything other than your hand imo is abuse. There is a fine line between abuse and discipline. You don't spank hard enough or long enough to leave marks. Putting children in time out is a great tool for most children. When I was a child timeout was a relief a welcomed break from the yelling I was listening to and yrs I reverend deserved many a spanking and a few I didn't get, but all in all I like to think I turned out a decent person and raised my children right. That's all my parents wanted. There is no cal got using hot sauce on a child.

Maybe you'd be happier in another forum...

Plus dragging up this old thread to justify hitting children is really not why we're here.

Julie.. this old thread was dragged into todays line up by the person who has drug a bunch of them in today. Take a look father down the page and you will see threads that have polls on them have been brought forward without any new comments ... its done by just voting on the poll, you don't have to comment. I noticed several when I logged on early this morning there was no new comment at that time just the thread brought forward with the last comment of August 25, 2011 on it.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Somebody is feeling bored, lonely, and desperate for attention.
Happy New year to everyone else.
The guilty party has already chosen his path.
Good luck with that!

I don't know how hot your hot sauce is but pepper spray seems to be the choice of punishment for the cops. Kids get out of line at school they can be pepper spayed or tazered by the resource officer on duty.

Some kids just like the self abuse and try to eat the habanero peppers.

Hot sauce does open up the sinuses.

I'll go a step further than BlackSpinner. Anyone that would do this to a child should have the child removed from the home and the person who did this charged and arrested. Anyone that thinks this is not child abuse doesn't need to be caring for children.

Years ago an adorable little boy lived next door to me. He was being raised by his dad who was a wonderful parent. This little boy missed his mother so much he would call me and ask me to come over to tuck him into bed and read him a story. I came to love this child like he was my own. When he turned 15 his mother decided she wanted him back. Long story short in just a few months she had him chained in the well house and tortured him for months. He barely got out of this alive. After he escaped he came to me for help. He never stopped loving his mother through all of this. He is now dead and his mother is out of prison. I miss him so much.
