No interest from me.

You are getting negative feedback here but it seems to be coming from people who have established their inventory and their supply line. Maybe there are some newer members who would appreciate your posts.

Do whatever you want and if you do post "deals", see if anyone else appreciates it.

Biker.. you seem to be very down on yourself, the posts here are not aimed at you as you think. We all voted on a yay or nay, nothing about your yay being wrong... are we not entitled to an opinion too, or is just because someone had a different opinion than you and you took it as a stab at you.. not so.... .
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

It is not unusual to see references here to private, used machines posted elsewhere on the net,
sometimes links to closeout cushions or pillows. Such references are not endorsements unless the poster states so.
People come here looking for help; sometimes their dearth of funds means they cannot buy first-run, new supplies.
If I see a guy selling TV's out of a truck, maybe I'll tell my friends--maybe I'll tell the cops!

I will put it in other terms. Everyone comes here to learn and sometimes ask for help with their SA and or other problems. The host of these forums do not use a heavy hand in moderation, they pretty much let things run through. That being said, sure you may find some items cheaper elsewhere, and find some things at cpap.com that is cheaper than other places. But, from experience, I will say, if you use their sources and then do business elsewhere, you are chancing that you could possibly put them out of business. I had a woodworking and stained glass shop a few years back, and people would come in and ask a thousand and one questions about machines, lumber, glass and even sign up for classes. Then they would order from the internet to save on sales tax, or from larger stores that could buy in mass quantities that I couldn't do. This behavior along with some other problems we had with suppliers eventually put us out of business.

Yes it's great to save 4 or 5 dollars on a mask or a dollar on a hose, but you could also be starting the demise of this very site! If business gets bad and they have to close their doors, (which I doubt) they would probably also do away with this site. Something to consider, are you willing to lose this site to save a couple of bucks? I run into old customers of ours all the time, that wish we could have stayed open. Some told me that they would run to Nashville to get their equipment because they could save $20 dollars. But, they also told me that the store in Nashville was no where near as friendly or gave advice and ideas the way we did, and wish now that they had stayed faithful to us. Because now when they need a part for their machine or a few pen blank kits in a hurry they have to run to Nashville and the gas is killing them. Live and Learn!

Last week I saw a deal on Amazon for a unique looking mouthpiece specifically designed for snoring and advancing the lower jaw ever so slightly. It was a one-day deal for $12 (incl shipping) normally $27. This was nothing that cpap.com sells so there was no conflict.

I posted the link to it that morning and when I checked that night some (b-word) had deleted it.

Hi Christine L,

As one who greatly appreciated that link even though I didn't buy the product, can I suggest that you PM Carolyn Goodman who will put it back? I definitely understand your anger and would feel the same way if it happened to me.

I am not comfortable posting the links to other sites on a regular basis but if someone asks about where to buy masks, particularly if they are looking for bargains, then I would have no qualms about advising as to how people could buy masks at a discount.

That's all we need, a repost of a expired link, even worse than posting "HOT DEALS!" in the first place. Outstanding idea. Jim

Fair point Jim and obviously, I wasn't thinking when I made that suggestion. But I was so angry at the censorship that is why I said what I did.

I still think Christine should ask Carolyn to investigate what happened so the offending party can be warned not to do it again. But obviously, it is her call.

While I am tempted to delete posts I consider SPAM, If there's any question of intent, I check their previous posts, that guides me in the decision on action. Not all people here become members to contribute, SPAMMERS join to spam and slip through the holes. I've never deleted a post that wasn't spam, but I still had my button removed once without being told why, my dogs lost ten pounds each, until my button came back, so i'm more careful in getting them a spam dinner. It's hard to see your dogs starve. Jim

Bless our hosts here that they let us post a lot of info on their competition.

That said, I try to limit mentioning their direct competition, and only mention things like how to find machines or parts on "different style" competition like craigslist, ebay, etc.

I wouldn't usually point out if "OtherCPAPseller.com" has a slightly lower price than cpap.com.
