I love my So Clean machine and It's worth every penny, go check out the reviews on Amazon.

Interestingly, they do not mention the aforementioned need to pre-clean (and for that matter, dump out the water in the humidifier. If one is using anything but distilled water, the mineral content is going to build up dramatically).

Of course, one could argue that if they did say to clean all visible soil, and dump and rinse the humidifier chamber, then one might ask, "At this point, why do I need to ozonate?"

I just got one, and have used it now for about a week. I really like it. I am immunosuppressed because of meds I take for an auto immune disorder, so I appreciate the added sterilization. This may be overkill for a lot of people, but not for me.

i have a soclean and i'm very happy with it. i still wash my tubes, nasal pillows, and tank with control III and water followed by a mild dish soap every few weeks.

I don't own a SoClean and have never used Control III. I wash my cushion or pillows with unscented
dishwashing liquid once a month or so. I use tap water in the humidifier and clean it with vinegar
only if I run it dry.

And I'm happy too.
