Hi,
Other posters who have written of the whistle sound in the Swift (IIRC) put it down to moisture in the tube with water droplets being the culprit.
Hopefully someone else can comment on this, I am interested to hear what it gets traced down to.
I am also very interested in your comments on the sound difference between the two machines. Is there any significant difference ?.
Thanks

xPAP and Quattro std mask (plus a pad-a-cheek anti-leak strap)
Swift nasal pillows whistle
Swift Nasal Pillows whistles-
The whistling could not have been moisture as I was just wearing it for an hour before bedtime to get adjusted to it. That is when I came in to post the question>> I tried twisting everything. Did not appear to be an air leak..
It appears to come from the opposite side from where the hose is connected.
Last night it felt comfortable ,used medium pillows. will try small tonight.(maybe the whistling went away). I slept...I tried the veil material in it about a 2x2 square..no idea if that helped.
As for the blowing air it completely blew my husband upstairs..so..I will sleep on one side only away from him or...(shhh don't tell anyone but I actually took a little cry..isn't that terrible and I am not the wilting kind) He'll get used to it or I can maybe place a pillow between us..Hey this sounds elementary after reading all the hi-tech stuff on here. The old song " We'll Work It Out"..
I like the feel of the nasal mask. Doesen't feel so hemmed in: can wear my glasses to read: can look my husband in the eyes and not so cumbersome. I'd like to keep it if Ican conquer it.
The difference in the noise of the machines. of Respironic vs. Resmed ..I did not detect any great difference. I might have been to obsessed with the nasal mask or I have another fan going which I have used for years to sleep by.
