Since this goes under the category of equipment, couldn't we enlist the ADA?

Hello all I cannot belive it. Lookie here.......

Hello Karen,

Thank you for contacting eBay Live Chat. My name is Del, a specialist
in the Prohibited Items division of eBay Trust and Safety, and I've
been
told that you have questions regarding the removal of a set of CPAP
mask
straps. I'm happy to be able to clarify this issue for you today.

The majority of CPAP accessories (which includes, but is not limited to
masks, tubing, nasal pillows, etc.) are only issued with the device
itself and are therefore considered prescription-only items. Items
that
are only available with a prescription may not be sold on eBay in
accordance with our Prescription Drugs and Devices policy, and as a
result the decision was made to prohibit all CPAP accessories.

I will be unable to reinstate the listing which was ended, as it was
removed correctly in accordance with the rules at the time. However, I
have received an update just today regarding accessories of this
nature,
and the decision has been made that these straps are once again
permissible for listing. "Comfort" items such as these straps that do
not directly aid in the functionality of the device itself may now be
listed without restriction, and I'm happy to inform you that you may
relist your mask straps at your convenience!

You can find more information about our Medical Devices policy by
visiting this page:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/med ... vices.html

Karen, I appreciate the opportunity to speak with you today. As
always,
please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any additional
questions or concerns. Thank you for your time, and I wish you the
best
of luck in future trading!

Regards,

Del

Huh? Gee, I'm glad I took all those courses in Logic!

Good news for the PadACheek, though! Good luck to you!

Karen,

Which leaves me with the question, now that you signed up with Yahoo Auctions, do you really need eBay? That was the most contradictory letter I ever read. Whose to say that in two weeks after you list your straps again, this won't happen all over again?

Poor girl...I'd be going crazy by now.

Do they have ANY idea how untrue and inaccurate this is? That's so frustrating! [/quote]

They're clearly ill-informed. An attempt to educate them will probably fail.
