How much would we have to pay to migrate some of those conversations to the public realm?

I agree with you, Jeff. Her posts are priceless.

Priceless I tell you... absolutely priceless. So just out of curiosity what kind of price did you have in mind?

I have absolutely no problem disclosing our email conversations, Jeff. However, it's psychology Dr. ozij who keeps issuing strong confidentiality assurances about my side of the conversa...

Happy Hanukkah, dear friends -- I'm fine - but had a very busy spot back there, and cpaptalk becomes so engrossing sometimes.

BB, that song you chose is one I heard in the "Chanukah /Christmas party" at school, when I was 8 in Pittsburgh, still stumbling on the differences between languages, religions and cultures - 2 years afterwards I was back home in Israel -- but I remember some of the words to this very day. "Dreidl", by the way, comes from the Yiddish "drei" -- to turn, so it's literally a "turner", or "sevivon" in Hebrew.

I was oohing and ahhing at my 10 year old nephew's dreidl tricks at a family meeting, yesterday. One of 8 nights of celebration, RG.

Dori, traditionally the Hanukkah candles are lit in windows, and during Hanukkah, you can walk in some of Jerusalem's neighborhoods and see the candles winking at you from many windows. Its winter time -- and the weather alternates between rainy days and sunny ones. By now summers dust has been washed away (no rain in summer here) and tree and shrubs have a fresh green color. I have a picture I took of my Hannuka candles against a rainy window -- will dig it up and post it.

I missed you too, Den and jeff - it's the caring and friendship on this forum that are truly priceless.

-SWS, speaking of indecision: (huh? you changed you avatar as I was composing!) there was a great debate between the sages: Should we light Hannuka candles starting with 8 (its an 8 day holiday) and decrease by one each day, or should we start with on, adding one... (we start with one). You are - as ever - much too kind in the way you present me.

Happy holiday celebrations to all -- and Amen to the wishes for peace.
O.

...Well, I hope I didn't miss out on a humorous comment based on my recent avatar:

Most interesting... thanks for that, O!

Hear, hear!!!!

And speaking of indecision, Dr. ozij, it's time to resume that perplexing debate inside my head: "Do I want to celebrate Christmas with my extended family this year, or do I prefer to secretly celebrate Xmas instead?"

Anyway to one and/or all... and all possible socioreligious combinations in between:

GENERIC HAPPY!!!!

All those candle-lit windows...sounds lovely! I've always loved the story of Hanukkah. Merry <insert your particular holiday/vacation> to all!
