I assume you have 32-bit Vista. If so, you shouldn't have any trouble. If you have 64-bit Vista, then see this thread for instructions on rolling your own installation package.

Littleredtree how did you do with the install on Vista? Just curious, since I was unable to get it to run on Vista 64 no matter what I tried. I was also unable to get it to run on Windows7 home premium. I do know that the same software will not run the same on a similar machine just because of minor differences in the settings.

I will be upgrading my laptop from Win7 home premium to Ultimate soon but until then my desktop has ultimate and is running great.

I had Encore Viewer running just fine with Windows Vista32 bit home premium.

I upgraded to Windows 7 32 bit home premium a little over a week ago. At first I had trouble with Encore Viewer on the Windows 7 running at all. It is now working just fine.

I came to the conclusion that it had to do with my Anti-Virus program. With the first one (which I used with Windows Vista), I could not get Encore Viewer running at all. It was as if it would not allow it no matter what. When I switched to a different Anti-virus program, it seemed that the new anti-virus protection allowed Encore Viewer with no problem. It does present a window (every time) that asks if I want to allow this program to run. I just click "yes" and it's fine. That happens with a lot of programs anyway.

As I have said, I am not very computer literate so am guessing that the anti-virus program made the difference.
