Could there be something in the processing of some foam products? There is an odor that many emit for some time when new. A friend of mine purchased a new car and whatever chemicals were coming off the upholstery left a film on the inside of the windows for months. I suspect that is from the vinyls, though? I agree that immediate allergy to the foams is less the problem, although I suspect there are some differences in how they are made? Is that possible? I'll do the search you suggested. Thanks for the info!

I have tried many different pillows including the temperpedic and the shapeable. The only pillow that seems to work for me is a small micro bead pillow that is actually an accent pillow. Bright yellow and fuzzy on one side. I found a micro bead pillow that was a regular pillow size, but it was still too thick.

For me most of the pillows are to high for my neck. The micro beads allow me to sleep on my side as well as my back and keep my mask from shifting loose.

tlc95066, have you tried the thin tempurpedic? They make several sizes. They even have a junior size for children. The small is only 3" thick before it comresses, and the junior is only 2.5" thick. I agree the regular (medium) one is kind of thick at 4", I had problems with this one too, but the small is really thin and works great for stomach sleepers like me.

Hi BP,
I am a big believer in tempurpedic. In January this year we purchased a tempurpedic bed and my husband and daughter both love the pillows. I love the new bed, although my husband thinks it is a little too hot for him. I will take look again at the jr size pillows though, thanks for the tip.

Terry,

Put a mattress pad on it for him. It will break the heat contact.

I've tried several different pillows and have had the most success with a pillow that I purchased at a health food store. This pillow has buckwheat hulls in it. Exceptionally comfortable, not at all hot, breaths easily, completely shapeable and, does a great job of conforming to the Breeze headgear such that I don't feel the 'outrigger' pad at the back of my head at all.

I know that some fo the home health care supplier stores also sell these pillows. Lots of different brand names and, not very expensive.

Buy a new hat, drink a good wine, treat yourself, and someone you love, to a new bauble, live while you are alive... you never know when the mid-town bus is going to have your name written across its front bumper!

Been using the Papillow a few days now and really like it. Definitely helps a side sleeper by avoiding contact between mask and pillow.

It is pretty thick so if you don't like a tall pillow this one's not for you.
