It uses the same algorithm as the spirit . If the spirit didn't work for you neither will the vantage. Just a smaller package.

Why does Resmed insist on the football shape ?

Why does Resmed insist on the football shape ?
Good question, chrisp. Maybe they think it looks "purtier".

Might be a pretty shape, but flat topped square (a la PB's 420's) packs more handily for travel, imho.

And, that flat top on the PB 420E makes a great spot for my drink to sit!

Just kidding...

Buy a new hat, drink a good wine, treat yourself, and someone you love, to a new bauble, live while you are alive... you never know when the mid-town bus is going to have your name written across its front bumper!

I don't have the Spirit now, I have the Auto Respond which tells me nothing.

I wanted the Spirit and the software so I could monitor myself but the DME I had gave me some execuse as to why I did not need it. That was before I wised up (by listening to many of you on this board) and realized that I could "take charge" of my own SA.

Thanks for all your good advice and expertise. It is so appreciated by me and many others.
