Hello Larry, I will give that a try tonight. My wife made a cover for the hose and that helped last night. Also I left the portable heater on low and turned the furnace down for the house some. That worked out good also I just had it go up to 68 at 7:00 AM. from the 63 we had it at. Sure hope we start warming up soon. I see you run the humidifier on a 4 can I ask why so high?
Our County is where Ohio Ind and Mi meet so might not get as cold as you, but still too cold. It is a warm 19 right now.

I started out with it on (1), but I seemed to have dry nose & mouth, so kept moving it up till I woke up without being dried out. Seems like 4 works good for me, I even had it on 5 a couple nights. I still have 1/2 in. of water left, and I usually sleep 5-7 hrs. We were -2 this morning, and headed for -5 tonight, I'll be ice-fishing till the 4th. of July!!! Good Luck...Whatever works for you--go with it...Larry....
