I sure hope so because my husband is still falling asleep so often although not as much as before but still more than he should. I had really hoped someone could help me with this. What do you think of his #'s . I don't know much but it seems to me that an AHI of 9.1 and a HI of 8.4 are still to high am I right?jules wrote:k - it appears to me your machine was made in 2004 based on the serial number - they started making S8 in 2005 I think - so I expect this is a S7
I am not a resmed person either. Maybe someone will recognize that picture and say what model, but it appears it is older than the information Wulfman assumed.
Sorta new

yes and the leak probably is too - need to get the leaks down first
Re: Sorta new
This is similar to my experience. I was given a machine which was calibrated for me based on the titration done in the second sleep study. I never spoke with my internist about my results nor did I have a consult with the sleep M.D. My internist did say that split night tests were not a good way to go, so I did a full night for both the sleep study and the titration. The technician told me she did get good readings from me, so I feel confident the machine is calibrated at the optimal setting that will provide good therapy for me.tmbarber4 wrote:He had the second study and they did not give us that information. He was given the remstar m series machine that he used for a couple of months, then the trouble started with having no res. therapist to answer questions. Then the insurance said we would have to meet anoth0
$750.00 deductable for the new year before they would pay any more on the machine so I returned the remstar m and bought a resmed autoset spirt for him. I am NOT dealing with the DME anymore as I returned their machine. I am on my own trying to figure this out. Agin he had the first sleep study then he went back and the doctor wrote the script for what looks like a setting at 10cm.
