Need help with encore!

Post by Andy99 » Fri Dec 05, 2008 11:22 am

I have Encore pro and a card reader. I dont have the respironics card reader. To save money I bought one online that is compatible. I cant get the info off the card? WHat am I doing wrong? Every time I try I get a message that says Cant connect to the device. Any Ideas???

There is NO other card reader that is "compatible" with the Mako/Infineer DT3500. Encore software has special drivers that will ONLY talk to that particular reader/writer.

So, you didn't actually "save money" after all......because you're still going to have to buy the card reader that works with Encore software.

If you did get the right card reader, you need to get the right driver.

Look on this page for "installer for encore pro" about half way down - that is the driver you need.

The correct driver is also on the Encore (Pro or Viewer) installation CD. You shouldn't have to download it from somewhere else.

fwiw - When I installed Encore Pro 1.8.49 on Vista Home Edition the software used Windows Update to get the driver for the Infineer DT3500 card reader. The driver installed is Mako ver. 2.0.0.7 6/5/2008

Meaning it may not be necessary to have any drivers if installing on Vista AND connected to the internet.

If that would work with 64 bit Vista, that would be great, I bet you are using 32 bit Vista... Jim

I haven't been able to use my card reader for over a year because my new laptop has VISTA too what a bunch of hooey, especially when you don't know what your doing (me) I have not seen my stats in that long and more.
Good luck!
