The Idiot's Guide to Encore Pro Installation

Post by Babette » Sun Dec 02, 2007 7:10 pm

I thought maybe with that topic you'd take pity on me and post some suggestions.

As predicted, I've hit a snag. Installation itself seems to have gone smoothly, however, I can't figure out how to add a patient. I can input the data, but there is no "enter" button to click on. And then I can't get out of that "add patient" screen. I've tried three times now, and all three times I've ended up CTRL+ALT+DEL-eting out of Encore. Sigh... Any advice?

I suppose I should go plug in the card reader now, and see what fresh hell erupts...

Yours Truly,
Eeyore aka Babs

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

HELP! Do I put in the CD first, or plug the card reader in first?

Whimper....

Okay, I uninstalled the Mako software, and went back to the Encore disk, and loaded that driver.

I re-sized my monitor settings to 12-something x 7-something, and now I can read the "ok" button the "Add Patient" screen, but not much else.

I think I can toggle back and forth between re-sizing my monitor settings just when I want to use Encore Pro. I'm very nearly legally blind, so this setting is killing me.

THANK YOU JERRY!!!!

And Jules!!!

Off to plug in a card and create some mayhem...
Babs

Okay, it's all done. Now I have a PDF file of mumbo jumbo that really doesn't mean a heckuva lot to me.

Is there a FAQ on how to READ and INTERPRET your data?

Offf to try to download Derek's - I mean JAMES SKINNER'S - software.

Cheers,
Babs

Yes you did! Bless you Jules!!!!

Okay, got James' analyzer downloaded, and the MyCPAP card saver utility downloaded. Saved my card to it.

Not sure what to do with James' analyzer. Are there instructions?

Cheers,
Babs

I am thinking that James' software is for more long term trends so it is easier to track over time. Of course I have been known to be wrong at times.

But I have an M series... I can't use Derek's software, according to Laura...

Okay, let's just shelve this until the AM. This tiny type is making my eyes cross. Need to re-set my monitor before I lose my mind...

LOL,
B.

It is for longer trends but hopefully Babs has a weeks worth of enhanced data to look at now.

Babs......

Skinner's Analyzer looks at the data stored by Encore Pro in the SQL database.....and creates better charts than Encore Pro.

After you have accumulated some data in the database, I suggest that you start Analyzer.....and look at your data with "Pressure vs AHI" in line chart form. This chart will help you find your "sweet spot"....those pressure settings that allow you the most benefit......at the lowest pressures....and the most comfort.
