Ah heck RG, I guess I better try another strap. You're probably right about the headband not applying the optimum pressure. I'll sew velcro on the headband so I can close it at just the right tension. Then get more data : )

Then I could get it higher on my head so it didn't hit my eyebrows.

When I did this it ended up slipping off my head. Probably the shape of my head being different? Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! Oh, and I have a LOT of hair - in a ponytail. It could tug and move to unseat the forehead piece if it rides too high. I think I'll still try trimming the headpiece about an inch. That will leave the tension in the same place and get it off my eyebrows.

1. Use Lansinoh just a dab on seals and nares. Put the extra on your lips
2. Going to a Larger size seal. Now using XL.
3. The rubber band trick. I guess if you wanted more a patented RG strap or knee high might help.
Just find something to put a bit more tension on the nosepiece.

I have not tried the CL2 but have plenty of FFM's to trade if someone wants to.

I think I will try a large just to get the pillow size up so that when I apply pressure from the headband (with velcro fix) it won't close off the holes against the inside of my nares.

This is a modified version of the rubber band trick. I just used a scrunchie to put just a bit more pressure on the pillows to help the seal.

From the looks of things it's time to fix the date too.
I routed it to the back of the head piece. The scrunchie I used just fit my head. Yea, picture me standing in Walmart trying on the scrunchies? But that's what I did. You could also use a rubber band run the same way. Just choose a size for the amount of tension you need.

Also pictured is another nosepiece with a knee-high nylon to insulate by holding in my body heat and help with the rainout. Soft on the skin too.

Yet another use for nylons

Figured I might as well add my Headrest wearing method.
I ripped off the blue rubber stuff but left the Klingon Forehead piece attached.
All I need to hold it in place is a stretchy velcro strap around my forehead. Works in any sleeping position for me.

Oh! I'd love to see a picture of it.

When we have ajusted it to " our contours", it's simply great!
There should definitely be a male Headrest, and a female Headrest.

I edited my original post to include recommendations for the headrest. I would love others to post suggestions so that I can add them to the list. I'm submitting them to the manufacturer.

SleepyDoll,

I just bought cotton disposable caps, (looks like a shower cap) to wear so the velcro doesn't pull out my hair. I have very fine baby hair which has been thinning lately. Shoppers Home Health sells a 100 pack of these cotton caps which are disposable. I use the same one more than once. When I change to a new one I use the old one to cover the opening in the back of the sandman after I remove the humidifier. I also use one for the other end of the hose. No insects or spiders can get in now.

It would be very easy, if you have a sewing machine to make "Pap Caps". I paid 9.99 Canadian (about 7.50 U.S) for 100 disposable caps. It would be cheaper to make some. It solves the hair problem, as your hair looks half-decent when you get up in the morning.

Hope that helps some,

Anne
