things that work

I suggest that we might post "things that work" for us in a new topic in order to share ideas with those of us who read this forum. Here is one.

After trying many different bandaids and scar pads and tapes, I have found something that really helps with skin abrasion and with the mask seal at the bridge of my nose: microfoam tape manufactured by 3M and sold as "Nexcare High Cushion Premium Foam Tape."

I have used this with my Activa mask and with my Ultra Mirage FFM. This tape is the only thing that works for me in helping to reduce mask leak into my eyes, while also preventing the red marks on my nose where the mask hits across the bridge. I was unable to find the tape locally, so I ordered it from drugstore.com.

I hope this helps someone else. I appreciate the advice and the suggestions that so many have posted.

Another thing that works for me is AYR nasal saline gel. Applied around my nostrils, it helps the seal when I use my Swift nasal pillows, while adding some moisture and reducing congestion. I have found it readily available in local drugstores.

I'm not trying to be a smart guy, but honestly - things that work if you have a red spot on your face and don't want one? ComfortCurve.

Some people can get a seal with it and some not - but NO ONE reports red marks. If this is a real problem for you, I'd try it.
