Re: Non Refreshing Sleep
Sorry about your sleep problems. Try eating a lighter dinner earlier in the evening.

Re: Non Refreshing Sleep
I'm sorry for your discomfort. I find it a bit challenging to respond to your comments seriously though, as the answers seem obvious.
It's no secret that constipation causes pressure and bloating in your belly, making it hard to find a comfortable sleeping position. So change whatever it is that's making you constipated. I.e. Increase and/or supplement dietary fiber, drink more water, increase physical activity and engage in regular exercise, and spending less time sitting and lying down.
Umm.. maybe avoid heavy meals and/or obvious trigger foods such as you've described?
Meats and chicken take a long time to break down (2-6 hours depending on fat content and portion size) keeping your stomach active when it should slow down. Lying down at 11 PM after eating meats and other heavy foods at 7 or 8 PM can cause acid to rise up—called acid reflux—making you wake up without knowing why. So again, avoid known trigger foods, or eat them earlier in the evening.
This topic has nothing to do with sleep apnea and/or related CPAP therapy, which is the primary focus of this forum. If the above suggestions aren't helpful you'll likely get better answers from Redditt, AI, or maybe even... <gasp> ...a real live doctor.
Re: Non Refreshing Sleep
as has been mentioned, eating close to bed time can cause a lot of problems getting to sleep and/or staying asleep. when I was a young man, this wasn't a problem for me. but as I "aged out", it would cause more sleep problems.
like the others, I'd recommend eating earlier or if that's not convenient, eat a lighter meal.
good luck!
