Sorry - trying to be as helpful with data as I can. leak rate was so small, I was trying to give as good a view as i can.
Its a little difficult to know exactly what you're looking for. You and other have so much more knowledge/experience with this stuff, that i feel you might be taking for granted my total ignorance of what you're looking for/what is or isnt useful. I'm doing my best to try to interpret what you're asking for. Please bear with me if I get it wrong. With your, and others guidance, I'm sure I'll get it right eventually.

It's explained very clearly both in the post that says "NEWBIES, READ BEFORE POSTING" as well as here: wiki/index.php/Oscar:organize

You can also click 'view, reset graphs, standard' on the menu, even though that's what should have been there in the first place, then drag and drop the mask pressure graph in place of the pressure graph.

I read the "noObs" thread and posted the graphs it said to in my 1st post I posted graphs to.

Thats where the issue of trying to post a READABLE leak graph happened.

That said, I followed the instructions in that thread. Maybe you missed that post, which is why I linked to it. The additional request from Robysue1 had me guessing what was a usable graph. it didnt make a lot of sense to me to post something that showed almost a straight line, however, maybe thats what the member wanted. Ergo why i posted multiple levels of detail for the the same graph

Maybe rather than chastise me for not doing something that I actually did, you could offer advise along the lines of "the default zoom level is fine so you know for next time" or "for that graph, zoom in 3x". I've been nothing but extremely respectful and expressed my gratitude every time I responded to you. I'd appreciate the same level of respect in return.

The screen shots all have different times on the horizontal axis and they don't have all the information I want.

I want one zoomed in shot of a period where you experienced the issue that shows Flow Rate, Mask Pressure, and Leak all at the same time. In other words, I want a shot that looks something like this (pulled from my own data):



Please note: My Mask Pressure curve has the periodic peaks that correspond with my inhalations specifically because I am using VAuto mode on an AirCurve 10 with PS = 4cm. Those denser parts where the oscillations are much smaller are part of the FOT algorithm for determining the difference between an OA and a CA, and it kicks in about 4 seconds after the machine is detecting little or no airflow in order to determine whether to flag something as an OA or a CA: Here's a zoomed in shot on just the OA from the above picture:



Because the y-scale on my Mask Pressure graph is large enough to show the 4cm peaks caused by the difference in my IPAP and EPAP settings, those oscillations look smaller than yours, but they really are the same size. Here's the same data with a y-scale on my Mask Pressure graph that is comparable to the 2.62 cm range in your graph:


You'll notice that now the FOTs in my data look more similar to yours, but the top peaks of my MaskPressure graph are cut off.

Finally, I want to point out that the FOT algorithm kicks in after 4 seconds of little or no air flow into the lungs is detected even if you start breathing again in less than 10 seconds and an apnea is not scored. That's also shown in the first snippet of my data; it's the second set of FOTs in that first image. The close up on that set of FOTs looks like this:



This un-flagged bit of bad breathing is only 8 seconds long---too short to be flagged as an apnea---even though there are clear recovery breaths at the end of it. The FOT kicks in about 4 seconds after there's almost no air going into or out of my lungs and ends when I take the big inhalation at the end of the un-flagged "event". The (small) leak that starts with the recovery breath may very well be me opening my mouth to inhale more air a bit more rapidly which also lets some pressure escape from my mouth.

We need to see the Mask Pressure graph along with the Flow Rate graph and the Leak graph. And could you confirm your settings? Earlier in the thread you posted an image says you are using straight CPAP mode at 10 cm pressure with EPR turned OFF.

The oscillations that start just before 11:57:20 in that snippet sure look like FOT oscillations kicking in, most likely because the machine detected little or no airflow into/out of your lungs starting around 11:57:15.

My guess is that the y-range is caused by allowing Oscar to auto fit the Mask Pressure data and the fact that sreiter is running in CPAP mode at 10 cm of pressure with EPR = Off. So we wouldn't expect much variation in the Mask Pressure curve in the first place, except for FOTs and drops in measured pressure because of large leaks.

That's why I asked for both the flow rate graph and the leak graph as well as the Mask Pressure graph.

I wasnt able to cause it to happen manually, however, going by your explanation of your graph/no breath for 4 seconds I DID feel a slight(gentle), rapid pulsing. Thats not the sensation I feel. The feeling I'm talking about is almost, if not exactly the same as you to wake up and shut your machine off manually. I made that analogy while wearing a full face mask. I dont know if it would be felt with other types of masks or not.

My apologies. I was trying to increase each graph to be readable without realizing the more I zoomed it would change the time.
This is my best guess as to when it happened. The event woke me, and I kept the mask on for several minutes afterwards. If you'd like, I could post the remaining time (until I turned the machine off... another 3 minutes or so) if you'd like, as i'm not exactly sure how many minutes after the event that I kept the mask on.

If not, I may need to wait until I can catch it again and wake up quick enough to turn the machine off right away. This way I can get a better handle on exact time frame for graph. I know how frustrating it must be. When I first asked the question, I didnt realize how deep of a dive everyone who helped would take or I would take, or I would have been better prepared with the graphs. Please let me know how or if I should proceed.

You have the correct graphs, but they are saved as three different jpg files. And the jpgs are barely readable on my computer screen.

I'd like to know answers to the following questions so I can help you get me the information I need in a format that I can work with:

1) Do you know how to rearrange the order of the graphs in Oscar so you can get the three requested graphs next to each other? That allows you to take one screen shot which I can download and mark up all three graphs at the same time with the information I want to convey to you.

2) Do you know how to pin and unpin specific graphs in Oscar?

3) Do you know how to take a screen shot from inside Oscar and save the image as a png file?

If you don't know how to do these things, please let me know and I'll step you through the process. It will help me help you. Because right now, I can't open your images in imgur, I can't open your images in a new tab, and I can't save them. And I'd also prefer to have one image file with all three graphs to make my job of writing a response that can help you understand what's probably going on a whole lot easier.

I do know how to rearrange them by pinning. the problem is I cant get the zoom correct no matter if I change the resolution on my screen or the font type with oscar. Maybe its because I use my TV as my monitor. I was using your example as the correct level zoom. All my graphs line up as far as time and zoom level. I only adjusted Y axis height

I do know how to take a screen shot from the menu in oscar. I wasnt aware you could save under different format

Also, if you right click on the image and copy link, then paste it in another tab (i'm using firefox). It'll open the image . you're cursor will turn into a little magnifier glass. and if you left click, it will zoom in (only once. 2nd click zooms out)

Really odd, but I couldnt open the image by "open image on a new tab". either. Imgur allow you to copy various formats, HTML, BBCODE, etc. I used a different one (for message boards). right click "open image in new tab" works for this screen shot. BTW. I checked and last set of images are in png format, as is the screen shot.

let me know what else you need me to do. I could shrink the Y axis on the 1st graphs and expand the Y axis on the leak graph to give a more readable view if you like. Also I dont see way to delete posts, but does i t make sense to delete all the unusable graphs i already posted?

I've been in IT for 40 years. If I did something thats contrary to stated protocol, such as taking 3 screen grabs instead of one, its because I'm trying to give those helping me usable data, and the only way to get it is by making a graph big enough to read. It doesnt do anyone any good if the graph is so small its unreadable.

Jesus, learn to follow simple directions [what I felt was implied -> ] because I cant be bother wasting my time with anyone who may actually be struggling". Especially in light of the fact I asked you to please be patient while I become familiar with the tips/tricks/functions of oscar that will allow me to be adept at proving this exactly as people need it. If you dont think yours remark could be interpreted as chastising-ly, I'd direct you to Robisue1's post where he or she asked me my knowledge level and offered to talk me through it, rather than what you said. This is nothing personal, but simply an observation.

I've *repeatedly* ended up attempting to help people that are 'not getting it' in some technical aspect of something relating obliquely to computer use, and I've heard "I've worked with computers for 40 years" from them, probably to tell me to shut up and accept that they know better than I do.

I don't know what that's supposed to mean, honestly. I've worked with computers for 43 years myself, and that really means nothing at all. I started out on mainframes, minis then workstations and multimillion dollar servers, now we're talking about PCs and some somewhat obscure app that runs on a PC, pulling the data from another computer in a medical appliance.

I really can't see what that has to do with decades of experience in a field that's changed so dramatically in those decades.

One of the things, though, that does seem to be consistent, is that in the person's attempt to "give those helping me usable data" they have applied their decades of experience, and done what they thought was desired, instead of just doing what was actually asked, which results in multiple back and forth iterations.

How this applies to you, I can't really say.
