Re: CPAP Dependency Guidance
I really hope the OP can get another sleep test and try a machine “fast” for at least two days ahead of time. But if all else fails, a self-funded machine is a good path forward.

Re: CPAP Dependency Guidance
It sounds like jrd has already had a in-house study in addition to a home sleep study, he says:ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Fri Jun 10, 2022 9:15 amIs there another sleep doctor in your network where you could seek a second opinion and possibly an in-lab sleep study?
I have been off it now, 3 days (1 day it broke, 1 day for home sleep study and 1 day for in-house sleep study)

You need to think things through instead of firing off a one-sentence comment. There is one of two things going on here.
1. Some poor communication on the part of the OP,

YOU are the one assuming that these events happened on consecutive days (“ first , second , third”). For all we know these events occurred weeks apart.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 4:44 am
2. A very strange happenstance to have a machine break on the first day, a home sleep study on the second day, and an in-lab sleep study on the third day. What alignment of the stars allows this?

You obviously overlooked my point one just so you could make a comment. When you quoted me, you even cut it out to create a false context. Daft much? Or just dishonest?Applecheeks wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 6:24 amYOU are the one assuming that these events happened on consecutive days (“ first , second , third”). I didn’t overlook your point one, I just prefer to not criticize the communication skills of the one that is seeking assistance.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 6:45 amYou obviously overlooked my point one just so you could make a comment. Re: CPAP Dependency Guidance
You should have been here long enough to notice that it is a very rare newcomer who doesn't communicate something incorrectly and leave out important information. It takes some time for everyone to learn the terminology and how to use CPAP correctly. That's where the value of the forum's help pays off.Applecheeks wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 7:21 amI just prefer to not criticize the communication skills of the one that is seeking assistance.

speculation is fun!
perhaps the op will come back and give us some follow up information.
