I never thought I’d see you leave the P10.
Well.....I have never been one to stick with any mask if another mask comes along that meets my own needs better.
One of my needs has always been as little on my face and head as possible. I simply don't like headgear. Now I used it because I had to but that doesn't mean I had to like it.

While the lack of diffused venting on the Bleep does't really bother me (probably because my pressures are relatively low), I do understand how it can bother others and for that reason I am working on figuring up some simple little way of doing a DIY diffuser until the manufacturer can offer what they plan to offer. Using a ResMed mesh filter works well.
When I am feeling better I plan to work on it to see how I can make it as minimal as possible. My mind is mush right now....so has to be a little later.

I just thought I would throw that mask out to you as an option. No headgear at all to mess with.
I am keeping the P10 as my back up mask....I realize that there will be times when I might not want to use the Bleep for one reason or another.

Between the Brevida and the Pilairo.....the Brevida pillows seemed a little smaller to me and for that reason I would prefer the Brevida over the Pilairo if choosing between those 2 masks. Remember my "less on my face" thing...that includes cushion/pillow size.
I remember watching the video for the Bleep when it first came out. The idea of always having to stock the specific tape seemed a bit odd to me. Also, it’s not offered on CPAP.com and no diffused vents so it was a no-go for me. Is it possible to just use standard first-aid tape?

I have asked Carolyn if they plan to offer the Bleep/DreamPort mask....I was told she would ask her buyer...I haven't heard back.
It is offered right now on several online websites that do offer a return policy...for full refund...I have seen 2 week to 30 days return options offered depending on where you shop.

The ports are actually already stuck to the adhesive and I can't see a way to use standard tape as an option to make it stick and not leak.
When I have some time I might try figuring out some other alternative but you just need to see how it works to understand why just taping with a different tape won't be an easy solution.
Let me get you a close up picture of the port. Give me a little bit.

. Now after months it too has stretched.
Headgear has always been the most replaced item on my masks, first the Mirage Quattro, and now the P10. I'm still on the same frame, after several years on the P10, second pillow, and several headgears.

The Bleep Dreamport that Pugsy mentioned doesn't *have* a headgear... but you do have to buy new sticky tape bits for every night.
But does the dreamport have diffused exhaust?

Have you tried the little clips that ResMed makes to tighten the P10 straps? (The clips come with new straps.) I admit that I am not fond of those clips as I find they pop off and get lost if you don't find some way to secure them, but they do tighten the headband.

Just a wild thought, if you have a large headgear that is well stretched, I wonder if you could cut the straps where they split, sew velcro on them and the other part of the strip, and have adjustable straps?
Yes. The clips are garbage. They were added by resmed as an afterthought because people were complaining.

As for the Velcro idea... I have a similar plan. Just waiting for the headgear to wear out enough to cut it. Hoping hot glue works for attaching because super glue sure doesn’t.
The P10 headgear is made of hollow tubes, you could run some elastic through the tubes, and maintain stretchyness for much longer a time than the spandex or whatever it's made of... or just make your own strap with some elastic.

Yes...for now. I got a pic of just the plastic part minus the adhesive so people can see that the plastic part has to stick to something first and then it gets stuck on the nose.
So it's not going to be easy to stick the plastic to something and have it hold...and then stick it to the nose and have it hold as well.

Unless bleep starts selling replacement sticky pads.. peel the adhesive off a port, and stick it onto new adhesive.

This?

Yes...that piece. Thank you. It has to stick to the adhesive solidly and then the adhesive on the other side has to of course stick to the skin.
Tall order for sure. 2 sided tape or some sort of glue to get it stuck on whatever adhesive someone finds.
Necessity is of course the mother of invention they say...so I won't say it can't be done but I will say it will take some experimenting and a strong desire to get it done to stand a chance of success.
Right now I simply don't have the energy to tackle it. Maybe later.....more for the challenge than anything else. I am quite satisfied with the ports just the way they are and my insurance would cover the monthly expense out of my pocket.

Is there a link to a diy exhaust diffuser? I use a rested n20 and it shoots a steady stream of cold air that is quite annoying.

I just use the clips, which I find work well. Before you give up on the P10 you should try them. I use only 1 clip and that keeps the mask tight enough.

There are also multiple hacks that will help you: here are a few ideas
