I just changed the point of my post on pointless posts.

Making my quarterly drop-by visit. I see the board is still full of posts the point of which is that some other person's post is pointless.
You are correct and it continues to deteriorate. The negativity won't change until the moderators regulate the posts including mine. At least you are intelligent enough to stay away for months.
The site owners do not want tight moderation. If you disagree feel free to leave.
It is their forum so they set the rules.
I am not suggesting tight moderation but the introduction of civility. When the the goal of a post is to call a forum member an idiot or moron, the moderators should remove or redact that post.

My understanding, since I am proud to be the card-carrying preeminent village-moron/idiot around here, is that despite the owners' pro-civility stance, it is their anti-censorship stance that prevails.

Is it possible that one of the tormentors created the alias DH to enjoy the attention?
More like DH created a troll id to come to his defense.

It is not uncivil to point out stupidity here;
since it has the potential to cause harm.
It is malicious to be or defend the purveyors of misinformation.
