Does ResScan offer anything over SleeptHead

Not, not really. Data is data no matter how it is presented. Manipulating the graphs is not all that easy in ResScan either.

SleepyHead does show some graphs that ResScan doesn't but for me they aren't particularly useful graphs. I still hate trying to get the graphs in a nice visual format in ResScan but some people master ResScan easily...and if I can see the main stuff I don't care how I look at it. I never mastered ResScan....I get by using ResScan.

99% of the time the basic data is all that is needed so I just start with that and if we needed something else we get it.
Remember I started therapy using Encore ...the king of PITA softwares. For years that's all I had so I am use to PITA software.

But most of them do offer the wave form graph which is a great tool for the flow rate. With SH we have do it manually in chunks and with Encore it's done for you and the scale is always exactly the same and the breathing rate is right there for easy comparison.
What I don't like with SleepyHead is when people try to cram every single graph that is available in one image and you end up with nothing useful but the AHI numbers on the left. That can be done in ResScan also but you don't have quite so many of them to cram into a small space.

So no...it doesn't matter to me really. If something is missing and I need it then we try to get it but for the most part data is data no matter how it looks visually and I can manage with either. Most of the time I am pretty easy to get along with.

I am trying to think of something in ResScan that it can do netter that SH can't like the wave forms in Encore and other than the fact that SH needs the detailed data files to get accurate AHI (if you forget and leave the SD card in the computer you get no detailed data and the AHI is slightly skewed in SH) I can't think of anything. Even then the skewing is minimal IMHO and not worth worrying over.
Except some people worry or a change of just 1.0 to 2.0 in the numbers.
People put this stuff way too far under the microscope and expect to get the level of data catching that might be available in a sleep lab and these machines aren't that detailed/accurate.
Now when a machine can know for sure when a person is asleep and not flag awake breathing...then I stand up and would be willing to use the microscope more. Until then it's a close estimate of how the night went and it's an estimate that comes with some "buts".
They aren't perfect. They were never designed to be perfect. They were designed for trends and patterns and not really what a lot of people want to do or expect from them.

Thanks!
But I still won't post a poll.
I agree.

No poll--thank you very much.
I used Sleepyhead intermittently for the first couple years.
Now I just copy the data from the full sleep report screen into a notebook each day.
I did enough paperwork before I retired.
