my guess on the jack is based on seeing that cpap places are selling the same 12v cable for the 50 series and the m series.

I've got a m series here that I measured to get the plug dimensions, could someone with both a m and 50 series machine confirm that they are indeed the same sized plug?

here's the same part from digikey... I haven't compared shipping to see which one is cheapest... but they're probably close, as long as mouser doesn't have a minimum order amount:

digikey used to have a minimum order amount, but I think they got rid of that in the internet age

here's a spec sheet with exact dimensions, you could measure the solder pads on the board with a good ruler:

http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/670/pj-036bh-smt-516018.pdf see if it looks like it'd fit.
I will be tied up this morning, but will try to take measurement this afternoon. I agree that the part looks like the one that broke. Thank you for the sleuth-work!

At $300 you will be getting an essentially new machine with the excerption of the actual blower.
A lightly used 760 might be around for $400 or so and might be a better deal.

Palerider identified the broken part for me, so I will be able to get and have it soldered in. Thanks a million Palerider for your help and research!
