C-Flex VS A-Flex?

Post by Gordyp » Mon Apr 30, 2007 5:07 pm

Here we go again. Yes, we newbies sure do ask a lot of questions.

I thought I was all set to buy, then I discovered there is not only C-Flex, but A-flex! I'm now looking at an Auto CPAP with A-Flex and Heated Humidifier.

Pleeeease, can anyone help me with the difference, pro's and cons, in these machines, baring in mind I had a horribly high titration value of 19 cm H20 in my sleep clinic.

A-flex is the newer technology and should make exhalation even easier than C-flex. Not many of us here have had hands on experience with it though.

my understanding of it:

Cflex offers relief on exhale only.
Aflex offers relief on exhale plus softening of inhale.

Respironics likes to play hide-n-seek with products on its website.

They did have a flash graph showing the differences, but I can no longer find it.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

New A-Flex still illusive!

Post by Gordyp » Tue May 01, 2007 4:02 pm

Strange things happening here with the new A-Flex?

CPAP.com put up the new A-Flex bundle with a price, saying it was available, and then when I called they said the price was wrong, it wasn't available and they were going to remove the page.

The plot sickens............ I'm still not sure if I want to be the first user and the first reviewer. Heck, why not, it's only money!

Thanks to averyone for the info.

Anyone know if A-Flex can be switched off and work in old C-Flex mode (not sure why anyone would want to do that though)
