don't order a SIM reader, since a SIM is a "Subscriber Identity Module" for a PHONE. you need a SD card reader. avaliable at any camera shop, electronic store, or amazon.Liam1965 wrote:But the next problem is that my computer no longer has a SIM card reader in it, so getting the data is going to be tough. I need to order one from Amazon...
Liam, feeling like he's a character in the SIMs, with his SIMplus mask and the SIM card reader. Or perhaps he's just some sort of simian.

Re: Opinions on partial night therapy
Thank you, that's EXACTLY where I am right now.
I am not looking at it from the standpoint of "what is the danger of partial night vs full night", I'm looking at it as "Hey, at least I'm getting partial treatment, which is better than the no treatment I WAS getting, and would be getting again if I can't get used to this machine."
Thank you for posting!
Liam, trying to remember to thank the helpful since I'm also calling out the unhelpful.

Re: Opinions on partial night therapy
When I started therapy last summer, I ended up pulling off the mask half way through the night. It takes time to get used to the noise, the mask pulling and twisting as you sleep, and multiple other sources of irritation last lasted the first couple months.
I fear that if someone had told me in those first couple months of use to force myself to be sleeping withit all the time I would have told them off. I was that zombie that you were describing.
Just take your time using it more and more until you are using it the entire night's sleep.

It is a measure of how tired I am that I made this mistake. I know the difference, quite clearly. My computer NEVER had a SIM reader, it had SD and xD and Flash and a few other card readers...palerider wrote:don't order a SIM reader, since a SIM is a "Subscriber Identity Module" for a PHONE. you need a SD card reader. avaliable at any camera shop, electronic store, or amazon.
Sigh.
Liam, contemplating the truth that some days, it would have been better to just shut off the alarm clock, pull the sheets back over his head and go back to sleep.

I hope next season we get to see a wandering bunch of sleepy people with mask lines on their face. Rick's group will think they are walkers until one of them yawns and asks for distilled water for their cpap.Liam1965 wrote:Liam, auditioning tomorrow for an extra role in the Walking Dead.

Re: Opinions on partial night therapy
Just wanted to say that I average 5-6 hours of sleep a night in general. (That's what happens when you have to be up for work at 5am!) Before I started using my machine I would wake up every morning with a headache. I just thought I wasn't getting enough sleep. But, even on the weekends I never felt rested at all and would still wake with a headache when I got 7 or 8 hours of sleep. Now that I have been using my machine for a little over a year, the only times I wake with a headache are those nights that I fall asleep before putting my mask on.

well, interestingly, I *HAVE* a SIM reader for the computer, it's handy at times for things like transferring contact info off a SIM, and I didn't want you to buy one by mistake.Liam1965 wrote:It is a measure of how tired I am that I made this mistake. Not that it makes it OK, because I'm the first to make sure I correct my grammar even if quoting someone who used incorrect grammar... but I believe someone else had said SIM card, which is what put it into my head.palerider wrote:and you aren't the first person to call it a SIM... or smart card...
Liam, not so much capable of independent thought as merely spewing out that which has been spoon fed to him.

as long as you don't spew it out when ordering the card reader... and then have to return it.Liam1965 wrote: but I believe someone else had said SIM card, which is what put it into my head.
