New to group and Sleepyhead

Hey all,
I have been reading posts here for a few days and have found some very helpful information and a lot of my questions answered already. so thanks for being so helpful to me without even knowing it

I am newly diagnosed and just started treatment with my APAP this week, so far things are going as good as can be expected, I am slowly working out the kinks and figuring things out. I did download sleepyhead after reading some posts here, but even after reading the detailed tutorial on it at the top of the board I cannot seem to make sense of what I am looking at on my report, so I thought I would post it and see if any of you could help me understand if what I am seeing looks good or not.

That is a stellar first week report -- using the machine all night, AHI well below 5, leaks under control. Just great! Which parts did you have specific questions about?

I guess I thought that 8.4 was kinda high for leak rate... but if that is acceptable I wont worry. there were just so many numbers I was not sure what I should be focusing on lol.

With ResMed machines the "do not cross" leak number is 24. Your leak numbers are well below that. The 90% number means that for 90% of the time your leaks were at or below 8.4. So no, no need for concern unless leaks are waking you up a lot and disturbing your sleep.

It looks like the pressure settings are wide open on your Autoset. Over time you may be able to narrow that range a bit to avoid a lot of wide pressure swings which can sometimes be disruptive for sensitive sleepers.

Important numbers are AHI and leaks, and so far you're doing great. When someone is not doing great we also want to look at their Flow Limit and Snore graphs, but if you're getting restful sleep and feeling good then no need to get fussy about those. Ditto to what Kaiasgram said and welcome to the forum.

The ResMed machines can compensate quite well for leaks up to 24 L/min (and actually do a decent job up to around 30 L/min but beyond that things start getting a big iffy) and your 8.4 95% leak number is WELL below that leak threshold. I suspect if we look at your actual leak graphs most of the time it is flat line at or near 0.0 with just a few times where it goes up a little.

If I got a 95% leak number under 10.0....I would be doing a happy dance all day long because I don't usually see single digit 95% numbers. I always have one or two short lived leak time frames which elevate the numbers.
95% numbers don't always tell a totally accurate story anyway because they can be easily skewed upwards and make things look worse than they really are. People tend to forget the "or below" part of the definition.
