The words comfort , Classic and respironics aren't associated with anything good when we are talking about masks. But I'll let others decide.

Now if you have some Resmed masks to sell I'm game.

Cheers,

Chris

Howdy Sleep Tech,

You wouldn't be one of those honest Sleep Tech's who accepts products for free from salesman trying to get their companies product on the faces of your patients and then turns around and sells them on ebay/chat boards - would you?

You make $30 bucks * 6 masks off a board cpap.com funds and supports for being dishonest. In the process you take money away from future innovations that would benefit the very people you sell the masks to as well as slap the face of anyone online whose actually building a reputable business that helps patients.

I considered deleting this but I'm going to keep it up. You sleep well on that clear conscious tonight buddy. Enjoy your $180 bucks.

Sad part is the boxes are prolly marked Not For Resale... Too bad he didn't want to be a hero and say, "Hey, one of our reps stopped by and gave me a few masks. First 6 go to people with the greatest need..."

Nah, take advantage of those poor slobs with OSA... Same mentality of folks that charge $10 a bag of ice when there are power outages...

At least cpap.com is here to try to make a reasonable profit, and provide a valuable service. Thanks again Johnny!!

I've used the comfort classic twice during my two sleep studies. It leaked like a sieve both times. I felt like I had to readjust it once an hour to stop it from leaking. I would't pay $30 for one of these. I guess at $2500 a piece for the sleep studies, the lab couldn't afford to use anything better.
Sincerely,
wading thru the muck of the sleep study/DME/Insurance money pit!

"Use in my lab frequently"...during sleep studies?

"Rarely have a problem with it"....during sleep studies?

"used it several hundred times in the lab and have rarely had a problem with it".....during sleep studies?

If that's what you're talking about - using that mask during a sleep study - then yes, I'm sure it could be strapped on tightly enough not to leak for a few hours... on patients who are mostly clueless about what's going on and think they have to endure it because "this is a test the doctor ordered." A lot of medical tests don't feel good. Some might complain, but most probably just put up with it the best they can to get through the sleep study.

No problems for the sleep tech perhaps. But the sleep tech is not the one later trying to wear a cheap mask like that night after night after night. Masks like that are probably a big reason, imho, for the high drop-out rate later when those unlucky patients are prescribed or given "the same mask used during the study."

What a favor to the patients and what a way to promote future compliance.

I agree. My DME suggested that the reason I have such a hard time finding a good mask is that my face isn't as "fleshy" as the average apnea sufferer, and so the mask has to do ALL of the contouring, my face can't do any of it.

Be that as it may, I couldn't crank the Respironics masks down tight enough to stop the leaks even sitting stationary. When I moved at all, fagedaboutit.

Liam, who isn't Italian, so shouldn't use words like that.
