alternate source for supplies instead of DME?
alternate source for supplies instead of DME?
I have insurance (Anthem), but I'm thinking of grabbing some supplies online instead of from my DME (after I talk to them about how reimbursement works, etc). Any recommendations? Anything from full machines, to tubing, masks, etc.

Are you going to want your insurance involved in the online purchases at all...either to apply toward deductible or get reimbursed?
Or just buy something out of pocket and not bother to file insurance?

If you want to buy supplies over the internet, I like CPAP.com, the sponsor of this forum. Occasionally I buy supply from them... sometimes you just need an extra part really quick.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I've never used a local brick & mortar DME and have always purchased my supplies (including machines) from online sellers like CPAP.COM.
I've also purchased some things from forum members who had stuff they wanted to part with, too.

Try Amazon. Lot of DMEs are selling their excess supplies there. Prices do vary but I have found resmed p10 mask and parts to be substantially cheaper than aforementioned DME site.

My experience with eBay have been mixed. Some prices are more than at Amazon. And a lot of parts which are real cheap, turn out to be reprocessed parts from a sleep lab.palerider wrote:*cough*eBay*cough*Guest1 wrote:Try Amazon. *shrug* I got a p10 from amazon marked "lab use only" for 70$, and three p10s, without the big orange sticker, sealed in original bag, from ebay for 40$ each.Guest1 wrote:My experience with eBay have been mixed.
