Brand new S/M Pico nasal mask - make me an offer

Post by Hosehead4ever » Wed Apr 08, 2015 2:30 pm

I pre-ordered the new Pico nasal mask, it got here and was WAY too small. I tried wearing it for about 10 minutes and was miserable. Then I forgot to return it until it was too late. Anyone want to try it at a deep discount? It cost $109. Make me an offer, please.

Bump

I'll entertain any offer really. It's just sitting in the box it came in. Surely *someone* wants to try it out for cheap. Really cheap. C'mon.

FWIW, it's otherwise really comfortable and minimalistic. Just needs to go to someone slightly more petite than me. I've got a man's nose, I guess.

Anyone wondering ...here is the Pico
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-pic ... -pack.html

If it didn't have that top forehead strap I would buy it just to play with it but that top strap along with the usual deal breaker bottom strap around the base of my skull makes it so that I most likely would just be wasting my money.
I wouldn't be able to give it a fair trial and thus a fair review because my issues wouldn't necessarily be someone else's issues.
If a new mask looks remotely interesting then I often will buy it for cheap and play with it and then donate it but in this situation I just can't do it....I need to save my pennies for a newer machine that I have spotted.

Katy...if no one wants to buy it you might ask about swapping it with someone for a different mask....someone might be interested in doing that.

how can they sleep at night calling something that huge "pico"?

well, maybe they're not using it in the international measurement way (used in units of measurement) denoting a factor of 10−12. and instead on the spanish origin way, from Spanish pico, literally ‘beak, peak, little bit.’ "here, this goes on your beak"

In units of measurement, I think it's many picos.

Pugsy, a trade is a great idea. I would happily trade it for a new-ish Wisp or a size large Pico. Both of which I want to try.

Bummer...I take it you got the package with the single cushion instead of the FitPack thing with the 3 sizes included.
Double bummer when I tell you the price is the same for either package at cpap.com.

You know the Pico is really new so probably not many people out there with the FitPacks who might actually want a size small and have no need for a large.
So if you can't come up with a deal right now store it safely away and maybe in 2 or 3 months when the odds are greater that someone will have the FitPack in their possession and wanting a Small and won't need a Large.

When I pre-ordered it, the Fit Pack wasn't yet on the website.

Wait, are you saying that I could just trade the cushion with someone who needs a small? I didn't even realize until just now that I could remove the cushion as I didn't know about the Fit Pack. Well, in that case, I'll hold onto it a while rather than give up on the whole thing. Although, I'm not sure I'll like a nasal mask at all. I'm waiting on a Pilairo Q to come today and hope that'll be the last one I try.

Yep...you can just trade cushions down the road once the mask becomes more popular and more people have the FitPacks and thus the different sizes. Like we do with the nasal pillows.

From the looks of it...all you need is a different cushion as the frame itself should accommodate all sizes.

Pugsy, you're brilliant, as usual. Thanks for pointing me to the Fit Packs. I guess the mask is getting put away a while.
