Called Apria
Called Apria
They had just gotten my approval number from my insurance company. She said that they had my equipment ready to deliver to me. She gave me a bunch of 5 digit codes:
E0601
A7037
E0561
A7034
A7035
Which of course mean nothing to me. If anyone can tell me what these codes translete to in equipment that would be very helpful. All she would tell me is they were CPAP, tubing, mask, humidifier, and headgear. I asked if the humidifier was heated and she said she didn't think it was. SO Now, I'm off to call my insurance company back to ask what my cost with these codes will be at a 50% copay. She sounded like I was odd for not just accepting for these items to be delivered. I thought I'd be going there and at least have some say. This whole thing is really starting to get to me.

I found it (previous post)
But code doesn't tell you what brand or type of CPAP/APAP they are going to set you up with. You need more information from them. They bill your insurance the same for any type of CPAP (whatever they bill or the insurance agrees to pay for E0601

Sorry to post so many times but another thought occurred to me
When you buy cash from Cpap.com the tubing comes with it. With your local dme they are charging you seperately.... A7037 (consider that in your cost analysis)
Also, make them give you the filters (both types) if you go with Apria locally
The RT at Apria for me tried to just put in the large partical filter and leave out the small white one. I called him on it. He also did some other stuff wrong which I had to fix.
He then got one and proceeded to put in in backward. Logic says the fuzzy part goes towards the room and the smooth part towards the machine. I didn't even have to read the manual to know this.

Fischer and Paykel Cpap machine?
Well Apria called me back and said the machine is a Fischer and Paykel Pro 2? I can't find this machine anywhere to look at it.

Might they have said "Respironics Remstar Pro 2?"imsotired wrote:Well Apria called me back and said the machine is a Fischer and Paykel Pro 2? I can't find this machine anywhere to look at it.
If that IS what they told you.....it doesn't exist.
There is a REMstar Pro 2 by Respironics that looks like this:
(This picture is without the humidifier)

And, the Fisher-Paykel machines look like this:

I wonder
http://www.fphcare.com/
I don't see any pro 2 listed at the company web site.
Respironics (Remstar line) does indeed have a pro 2
It is the best regular CPAP (other than some might argue the new M series that is smaller). But the pro 2 has the data collection capability etc.
Unless you were looking for an auto (and i can't remember your orignial post now) this is a good machine Remstar Pro2
Call them back and make sure if it is Respironics or F and P

Apria also tried to give me a FP pro2. When I told them it didn't exist they said it a FP HC234. They KNOW exactly what they will give you, don't let them give you the runaround. If the items they are giving you are not EXACTLY what you want TELL them. I told them what I wanted and was told I had no choice in the matter. I called the corporate headquarters and complained. As you can see I ended up with a very nice setup!
